The Houses of Parliament may close for up to five years for refurbishment, under plans being discussed by MPs.

Parliament could be convened in a replica chamber or a conference centre for the duration of the repair work, which could start in 2015.

My first reaction to that is no, we don't want them. But then again, Edinburgh? I'm sure most of (y)our politicians would benefit from being educated in the Ways of Everything by TJ.

Just dump them in the olympic village as part of the legacy programme.
They've got all that athlete accommodation too, removing the need for a second home.

So it needs a lick of paint? £3bn sounds a bit steep.May I suggest, that in these times of austerity, and as Dave himself points out "we're all in this together" how about they get daytime telly involved.....
