Has it been three years since I posted, since I had children and altogether ceased anything but utility cycling? It has.
How is everyone? I feel obliged to say, as anyone coming back from a long hiatus must, have you seen the price of components recently!?
Yep, not done any MTB since moving just over 2 years ago (despite now living only 10 mins ride from the woods with numerous albeit very tame trails) although still been cycling to work/pub etc
Back into it now, almost immediately damaged my mech 😭 but was then actually pleasantly surprised by the "trickle down" effect and that wireless shifting is now affordable to mere mortals... suffice to say, first ride on Eagle GX AXS last night, bloody brilliant 😃
Unsure it is affordable to mere mortals but it is definitely cheaper than when it first got released and has a few more options...will be cheaper than kids though! 😉
