When did it become so bloody expensive? A return in Zone1 over £9 😯

Would of walked but short on time last night.

I realise now I am a piss poor country mouse.

It is set up to get everyone to use Oyster cards.

It's a lot less with an Oyster card.

Sample single Tube journey prices
2014
Zones 1 to 2 – Oyster £2.80 peak, £2.20 off-peak, Cash fare £4.70
Zones 1 to 6 - Oyster £5.00 peak

£2 for a day.

Why anyone uses the Tube for a journey in Zone 1 is beyond me.

It's best not to, as it will just be beyond him.

Vienna's underground is 365€ per year. They brought the cost down a couple of years ago. O You can pause that ticket when your not there.
That underground system I a far more pleasant place to be. Much cleaner. And your phone works.
One jounrney is I believe 2.5€.

The bikes are great for pootling around but for being somewhere at a set time, finding a free spot near you destination can be annoying.

Less annoying than not finding one, I expect.

£1.40ish for a single bus ride anywhere with a contactless debit card did us very well last time we were there. We did some proper long (in both miles and minutes!) journeys for cheaper than i ever would have imagined in an otherwise expensive city.
