Need to get to one of them, Luton is out on flight times so it's a choice of Heathrow, Gatwick or London City Which is going to be easier by train?

I'll go city .... might have to change tube/DLR but still reckon it'll be quicker and of course City is by far a better airport than gatwick.

Good luck

Its really not, other than being quieter than Gatwick. Departures is horribly cramped unless you've got lounge access.

National Express bus to Heathrow. Direct bus is 1hr 10 mins (although some take longer depending on departure time and route).

Or if there are a few of you travelling and if getting to train/bus station involves driving or taking a taxi anyway, it may be easier to either drive to Heathrow and park, or take a taxi directly there for around £80.

There was a Southern Railway service from MK to Gatwick until fairly recently.

I have a feeling it stopped going as far as Gatwick, only to to East Croydon perhaps but you could connect from there ?

Does that still run ?

If train, Gatwick.

Heathrow will take loads longer on the train. Likewise, City.

Would say that taxi / bus to LHR is probably easiest all round though.

Brum a very good shout.

Any itinerary including Southern or Thameslink is potentially stressful.

LCY is a much smaller and nicer airport imho and when I lived in London ir was my preference. Now it’s Gatwick but it much more agro.

Rather depends on where you're flying to though, wouldn't you say?

Nope, work rearranged plans so need to get from mk to Fort William, looks like a toss up between Gatwick and city there, will see who had the better flights, don't think brun have enough flights to Glasgow to fit any better.

Heathrow is also easy by train to Euston, short walk to Euston Square tube, tube to Paddington then (pricey!) Heathrow Express.

LCY is a great airport, but if the cloud base is low, or the visibility not brilliant, you might end up in Southend!

MK resident

Heathrow or Gatwick not much in it, all a pain! stanstead as well

if youre not in rush hour consider the bus to LHR it works out the least stressful if theres no traffic

how long u in MK, with a bike? you can hit the heights of Woburn.......

At least Luton isn't an option, be thankful of that.

MK resident too. I've started using buses and trains to get to and from the airports for work trips recently.

Best by far is train to Birmingham, never known public transport to work so well.

Other than that National Express to the airports is very good.

Did Gatwick a couple of weeks ago, no problem, it stopped off at LHR on the way past.
