I've always been a user of than, as in 'cheaper than CRC' (for example). However I've noticed a lot of 'thats' creeping into text over a period of time.
Which is correct? And where have the 'thats' come from - predictive text, spellchecking, Americanisms?

Saying "cheaper than" is better than saying "cheaper that". Mainly by dint of it being correct.
