Blimey - she comes across as a proper beatch.

Talk about overly confident and high maintenance. And she's only 17.
God only knows what her parents are like.

Ms monotone half talk ,half rhyme = unique sound, er no thanks she and her music are dull as **** after the first, second and third same sounding song.

Only once someone else has either remixed or done a cover of it does it even have musical qualities I noted the other day

middle aged men in 'its all noise' shocker

Really? Where??

It's ok pop music. The speech impediment used in the latest single puts me off cos it's a bit
pub-singer-y.

(And Foals? I like em, but not exactly cutting edge originality is it?)

Go and see them live, seriously. Best gig I've been to in years

I can offer an alternate view that she comes across as quite normal. I know her music teacher who encouraged her not that long ago. Her family are normal and she is simply a girl who has gone from nothing to heaps really quickly. Music wise it's well put together but not my thing

That's nothing to do with what I said. I would like to see em live, actually.

I was offered a job recently I heard lots of things but reserved judgment based on NEVER having been

However NZcols post has confirmed it screws with your perspective of reality and sends you back to the 80s depressive sounds era

Look into her back story. Makes for some interesting reading, and tells you of how the modern music industry works.

If you could remain normal while operating in the pop music industry at that level, you're probably some sort of sociopath tbh.

Wonder what she thinks about scottish independence? Also, see if you can find that video of the gigantic clown singing Royals, it's really kinda cool.

It's ok pop music.

I think it's better than average pop music myself, but that's about as far as I think about it or her.

All hype over substance im afraid. Its trendy to think shes effing awesome, just because everyone else tells everyone else that shes awesome. People used to have opinions.

I like her. Saw her interviewed on BBC 24 hour news.
She seemed well spoken, intellectual and generally an ok person.
Her music is pleasant enough. Granted not the best singer ever but compared to some tripe in commercial music (take the untallented monkey that is Lilly Allen) she is a breath of fresh air.

17 and fat middle aged Audi drivers on the other side of the world are calling her a bitch in a cod black American accent and people agreeing with them are saying

and the American accent

without any self-realization.

Based on how many hours of detailed observation?
Based on the interview I heard on 6Music with Lauren Laverne, she came across as intelligent, self-assured, fairly self-deprecating, and gave credit to her parents for their support.
All in a New Zealand accent, oddly enough. I like Royals, and bought it, not sure the rest of the album is quite my thing, but dance and electro type music isn't my thing, really.
Older bloke doesn't like young person's music shocker. Who'd a thunk it.
