Gave a mate in my running club a copy of a well know diet plan 😉 last week and she's gone from 61 kg to 56 kg in a week so far. Most people say "oh the the first week is always water" but 4kg!!! WTF
Is that ok? 4kgs? She looks great, and her skin has really improved!! Bitch ha ha
I lost similar on my first week of iDave.
It's quite a lot but 1-2 kg of proper weight loss is healthy enough in a week plus some water loss (which as I understand is more variable in women anyway) depending on how well hydrated she was then and now.
Are you sure she's not just lost an arm in an industrial accident?
4kg of fat = around 36,000 kcals or 18 days worth on a 2000 kcal diet.
So yes, it probably is mostly water.
I lost 5 stone on it, I am still on it and have kept 4.5 stone off.
I love it.
Norovirus?
Ok let's say its mostly water... What does that mean though? Why would she loose 4kgs of water? It's mad trying to get your head round it!
Binbins yep, 2 arms 2 legs 1 head, she's all still there 🙂
Your body needs water to retain its glycogen energy stores. Once these stores are used up your body will get rid of the excess water by the usual route.
Not 4kg of water - probably some weight loss and some water.
Maybe she weighed before and after big poohs.
When I followed it I lost a lot first week and also felt great. Made me wonder if I am wheat or lactose intolerant.
I only stopped as I found it difficult to get quick & convenient food which was on diet, plus I'm lazy.
I lost a lot of weight on that first week btw, but never felt that good - and after 2 weeks I could barely turn the pedals on my commute.
Where can I find this diet? I'm getting a bit porky and I'm off on Jollybobs soon.
Pah! I can *sneeze* 4kg.
(this is probably not true and fair play to the OP's mate who is now probably really motivated to carry on with the diet).

Errmmm, isn't that 5Kg ?
and after 2 weeks I could barely turn the pedals on my commute.
Perhaps you weren't doing it well enough, it being a new thing and your first time at it and all.

Correct, at a ratio of approxoimately 1:4
**Oh shot, what have I done**

if the OPs mate goes back on the carbs now, the majority of the weight will go straight back on.
will also need to be flexible about weighing days relative to cheat days. Once settled in you will see the 'actual' weight loss.
if you are purely interested in what the scales read, its a great quick fix
4kg in a week - that's a lot of poo
4kg in a week - that's a lot of poo
The old ones are the best, eh ?
Still, this is STW so its quite possibly true.
sorry I couldn't resist - very childish of me I know 😀

No, you carry on, I like the old, simple, jokes. They're the only ones I get.
😉
14 stone in a day!

surely to go 'back on the carbs' you first have to come off them?
