The mistake you made Hannah was assuming the biscuits and donuts were for everyone.
I used to visit a ward full of injured Libyan freedom fighter. Knowing they had a massively sweet tooth - one night I took a box of 20 massive, iced, unctuous gunk-filled donuts with me. When I arrived on the ward the nurse on duty said
'Oooh! Are they all for me?'
'Ha ha! - yes!' I said, thinking she was joking.
She wasn't joking. Took the whole box, disappeared into her office, and I never saw them again.

No idea how to make that an actual image. For those that care but can't be bothered to follow the link there are/were both jam and custard donuts accompanied by a broad selection of filled and unfilled biscuits, old favourites, and novelty flavours. Definitely a carefully curated selection.
And no, I didn't eat them all.
