You know one that measures less than you think you need!

Think this one needs another bit of coconut milk in it 🙂

Whats the thing you can't measure reliably?

If it measures less than you think you need, then you just use two measures instead of one. All the best cooks wing it anyway, my g/f certainly does, she even adds different ingredients. She’s yet to produce anything I couldn’t eat more of.

Rice or pasta for more than one person. Always make more than I need!

Always put far too much noodles in chicken noodle soup.

The thing that amuses me about good Thai paste is that it gets waaaay stronger the 'older' it is!

So you initially use 3 spoons....

Then 2 months later, 3 spoons blows your head off!!

Did anyone see the ‘come dine with me’ where the Thai contestant used a whole catering size tub of green curry paste (48 servings IIRC) for 4 people?!

Given how potent this stuff is to me that would kill people!! By jar do you mean sauce not paste?

tis indeed possible they stuck the wrong stuff in the jar but the above i brought down here to work and it said 1/3rd of a jar with a 400ml tin of coconut milk. cooked it up with some onions , garlic and chicken  , tasted it and added the other 2/3rds of the jar - nippy but tasty. I suspect its not very good curry paste 😉

if thai curry blows your head off dont be trying West African Piri piri that really could kill you. no flavour - just BURRRRN

I know my limits... The pork salad I had in Singapore that I could only conclude had spent its entire life eating chilli before being hung in chill, before being marinated in chilli and a bit more for garnish
