Looking at potentially getting a new tent - not that I particularly need one mind - main one is a 3 man tunnel tent that weighs a tonne and is knocking on for 12 years old (but still up to the job if you have a car!) Other is a '2 man' Vango pop-up which is really a 1 man. New tent could replace both potentially.
Looked at the OEX tents at G.O. arse end of last summer - seem very nicely put together.

Had a mailer come through with this offer.
I remember this one being a strange shape though....anyone got one? Or any OEX tents for that matter...
Prefer their more conventional shaped tents but wondered if this was worth a go.
Can't find out much about the brand other than their UK and almost exclusively sold at G.O.
Good name, at least.
Weight (kg): 3.65
That's about double what I'd want if I was taking it for single-occupant backpacking / wild camping duties.
What you going to do with it?
I have a cheap single skin one I picked up when I was in the UK for pub/one nighters where if it goes wrong or I run out of luggage I don't care if it goes in the bin.
Got a quality 3 man Mtn Hardware for mountains and comfornt
Got a huge Coleman 2 bedroom one for proper car camping over a few days
So decide what you want it to do and then maybe we can have a serious opinion.
I had a good look at those last year but not at that price. They looked really good, spacious, I could sit up in it (I'm 6'3") and they seem well made. They aren't light but they do come packed in two bags which makes splitting the load easier. The other thing that put me off was the colour - I quite like it but it could have been more discrete.
I think if they'd been on that offer I'd have bought one.
