Looking for a new tent (probably 2-man, 4 season) and considering a Fjallraven, possibly Abisco Lite 2. Anyone used this or any Fjallraven tent before - are they any good? Or feel free to tell me about alternatives (including 1-man tents). Happy to pay a bit more for great quality and peace of mind. Also, I'll probably be selling a Hilleberg Soulo on classifieds pretty soon - any interest here?
Thanks.
I recently acquired an exped Orion III extreme for a very good price.
Two nights out in it so far, one very wet and windy and I’m impressed.
If you already own a Soulo, you know Hilleberg are the best tents, period. Pricey though.
If you know the brand you will not be disappointed with a staika;

I'm a bit disappointed with Fjallraven. I do a lot of walking/hiking and wanted to like Fjallraven stuff as I prefer non goretex/membrane clothing. Fjallraven clothing seems tailored to cold crisp snowy Nordic type weather rather than our wet humid weather, it's also been pushed up market into a trendy lifestyle brand and is now manufactured offshore. Not sure if this applies to tents as well?
I like Hilleberg quality but can’t afford a 2-man from them - they’re getting on for a grand nowadays and I don’t get out nearly enough to justify that kind of spend. Looking at the next rung down price wise, or even cheaper if there’s something good - maybe Wild Country, MSR, Lightwave etc. Cheers.
Vaude make good, solid, reasonably priced tents.
Nordisk Telemark UL2.
Love it. "Cosy" for two, great for one.
@rustynissanprairie - you have any go-to clothing recommendations? I need a pair of light but tough/durable waterproof trousers for hiking in the rain / pushing through the brambles. Been eyeing up some Fjallraven and don't mind the price but they have to 100% work first and foremost...
