I may have to move and with Covid-19 I can only work from home. However, the new place does not have a BT line so I have potentially got a period with no internet.
Is there any temporary internet provider I could use whilst BT connect me (BB with BT too)? I just co don't afford any time without broadband.

Dongle and unlimited 4G SIM card would be easier.

Just about any mobile provider, assuming there's signal. Either up your data on your phone or get a dongle / old phone and an extra sim / pay as you go.

Ask next door nicely if you can use theirs?

Oh and when you order your BT line / broadband, the magic keyword is to ask for[*] "Simultaneous Provision" otherwise they'll put the phone line in and you'll have another wait for broadband.

[*] At least it was last time I moved....

Why not try your mobile phone.

Mi-Fi box and data sim card. I got a TPLink one and then sold it on ebay after I'd finished with it

Good idea about using my phone but I'd imagine virgin mobile might cut me off after a few days of using it for work, even if I have unlimited.

Assuming you need broadband for work, ask your employer what they're going to do about it.

I’d imagine

Stop imagining and ask them?

Of course they won’t.

Three do unlimited 4G broadband for £30 per month - no long contract.

You have to buy a hub device for £50 but that is a one off.

You might be lucky and live in a 5G area and get even higher speeds.

If I was moving I would try one of these before signing up to a landline contract.

Smarty use the 3 network and do it for £20 - It's what I use with a router I got from the Chinese Communist Party
