Mrs A is very keen to get a cross trainer for home - she's not a massive fitness fan but walks the dogs twice a day, does 50/100km walks and is pretty active but wants some cardio stuff (she's familiar with gym equipment and it's def a cross trainer she's after).
She's been advised not to get a cheap/basic one. We don't know anything about what to look for or brands ... beyond a recommendation for Life ones. We'd probably plan to buy secondhand, probably not from a gym clear out. Bay seems to have a lot ... be great to get some guidance as to what to look for.
Cheers
Get to a cheap high street store, such as JD or Sports Direct (shudder!!) and get her to try some on. Buy the ones that feel good, regardless of the brand/cost etc.
Mikey - thanks. She's used a few (friend's Reebok basic one) Vs a couple of different gym ones and says the gym standard is much much better to use/feels much better, so guess we're at the 'expensive(!)' end
Cost is everything! I've got a Kettler which cost a lot cos it has a large heavy flywheel 23 in stride and lots of programs.
Because it's good it gets used a lot. The cheap ones are rubbish.
