Just wondering is the downhill today between the two alpe climbs part of the same road as the supposed 'black' run for skiing, if it is it obviously doesn't run from the very top and the lower sections are pretty tame on ski's, not seen under the snow but the profile could be 'interesting' on a road bike......
the "top" is only about 250m above the resort, so it's not from the mountain peak
agree about the black run - very tame after the (pretty tame) top 100m but I reckon skislope gradients don't translate directly to roadbike descents in terms of being fast
(Oh, and maybe we should all congrgate on Realman's thread ?)
The v top is at something like 3000m so a good 1kabove where they ate going, however the section where the lift crosses the valley could be quite a bottleneck for a whole peleton
yeh, but they'll be well split by then
(I do wonder how narrow that road might get though)
I hope that the crowd control works. But I doubt that it will.
