Me and the good lady have got the first week in July off work and are planning on going over to France. We'd like to watch at least one stage of le tour seeing as we'll be there at the right time.
Any suggestions on which stage might be worth watching and where to stop? Got nothing booked yet and planning to camp and/or stop in a BnB over the course of the week.
All suggestions welcome.
The race starts in Holland and then moves to through Northern France to Normandy. All quite flat so riders/peleton will just fly past. No TTs early on. I would be tempted to push holiday back a bit and find some more interesting stages.
I would try and get up the Huy on stage 3.

Plenty of bumps on stage 3, try a less well known one.
