Whats the deal with this? How much am I likely to save on a £440 Nikon D3100 at Dixons?

only a few quid but you may want to check this and reserve one before you fly.
I don't think it will be as much as the full VAT amount. Probably more like £30.

If its to use while on holiday I'd be careful as you will need to charge it up first an you'll need a bit of time to get used to it so the saving may be not worth it in the long run.

Don't forget a memory card. Dixons will have your eyes out for one of those so buy on line well before you go. (7 day shop.com)

Well that's disappointing.

I can buy one locally £390 inc a 4gb card, so will probably. do that then.

I got a D3100 for £320 at dixons travel in Glasgow airport about 6 weeks ago. £40 cashback from nikon too so in then end it was only £280
