My old quasar desperately needs all the seams on the flysheet redoing.

Any recommendations please.

There are a few on Amazon but they all appear to be iron on. Is that ok on tent fabric?

I used this stuff https://stormsure.com/products/tuff-tape-self-adhesive-waterproof-seam-tape-10m-roll

And also seamgrip sealant to do my terra nova.

Seamgrip to do the first layer then used the tape over the top.  Might have been a bit overkill but it works

If it's a silicon coated flysheet, you can use the Seamgrip +Sil on the outside of the seams instead of taping, looks messy but doesn't take too long. Just pitch the tent somewhere dry and follow this video

+1 on liquid sealant and on outside. We kept centre issue DofE tents going for a few more years like this.

Very timely.  The kids took our pristine, but twenty plus years old Terra Nova Terra Firma out last week and it dandruffed the seam tape all over the place.

So if you use sealant on the inside then I presume you have to squeeze  it between the panel butts, and then on the stitching on each side of the panel butts?

Hence Moab's suggestion of putting it just between the gap on the outer side ..

Did I get that right?

Any brand recommendation moab?
