Bought one of these a week back from PC World. Of all places they seemed the cheapest. We wanted a small pocketable digital as the film SLR is slight overkill for kids birthdays and the like.
Anyway overall I think it's really good. The face recognition is quite a novelty. Fair bit of control in manual mode. Minimal shutter lag. Overall very pleased. Only comes with a crappy 32MB SD card to get you started. Got a cheap 4GB from Morrisons for £6 although may need to get a faster one soon. Also no case so factor the cost of a good one into the price.
Only real negative is the lens only goes down to 32mm which can be a little narrow when taking pictures of all the nieces and nephews.
Oh yeah forgot. Trusted Reviews have a good review of it. For £150 I don't think you can get much better.

pcworld deal look good.
is it tru to say that canon image colors are 'better than real life'? my current fuji f20 looks all washed out
The only problem I have encountered is that the lens shield doesnt like any dust/gritty environments. If I had my time again and next time it will be a mju waterproof thingy.
