So we are off to France on the chunnel taking the dog.

We have no pet insurance, so the question is should we? Or should we just go with the flow like normal. She has no medical history issues and is 3 years old.

Kennels is not an option. She is a rescue and would not be happy.

Any recommendations that cover holiday travel please.

Buy a policy that allows you to pay monthly then cancel after 1 month. By far the cheapest option. Just ensure it has cover for overseas treatment. Just be mindful of any waiting period on claiming

Yep rabies & animal health check before you go and worming beofre you come back. We're doing for the first time this year as well, reckon it'll cost more to take the dog than it is for us to go!!

We did rabies last week, and will be booking an appointment for the AHC soon to make sure we get in in time. We're not going until August...

We paid £180 last year for the AHC and jab. Brexit bonus..

Luckily Beti has a EU passport and we managed to get her shots in Spain and passport updated.

Tunnel is a great way to get a dog to Europe. We don't insure as the Spanish vets cost a fraction of the ones here (x ray was 80 euro).

Cheers all.

HC booked, rabies done.

So yeah, think we'll skip the dog insurance.
