You don't need to be an 'investor' to invest in Singletrack: 6 days left: 95% of target - Find out more
I'm about to book a flight with Ryanair and I'm a bit suspicious about the charges. The sporting equipment charge for a bike is £40 with a weight limit of up to 30kg, but they also say 23kgs... I rang them and they also said that it's £40 per item, and there is no extra charges providing it stays under 30kg.
But I still worry that I'll get a different story when checking in.
Can anyone speak from experience about this? Am I paranoid (looks over shoulder)?
And, no other airlines fly direct.
But I still worry that I'll get a different story when checking in.
if you don't check-in online [for both legs of the journey] that'll be another bill
Take a printout of the online blurb with you and you'll be fine.

when all other bags are max 20kg and the overweight charge is £20/kg, I don't want to find out at the airport that I need to stump up abother £200!
I also like their exchange rate for GBP to Euro - that will be 1:1 then
reading that - I think you'll be liable for £20/kg over the allowed 20kg up to a maximum of 30kg
Whether they charge you or not is another matter but seeing as it's Ryanair, I expect they will do
reading that - I think that sports equipment up to 20kg costs £40 and bikes cost £50. That's each way - **** me things have changed. For the worse.
I wouldn't fly myself by Ryanair let alone my bike.
Hi Krooges, how did you get on. I am flying to France in September with Ryanair so any feedback on how you got on would be much appreciated. Thinking about just getting a clear bag to pack it in, bend bars back, remove pedals, job done!
Cheers
