Getting to grips with the GoPro now although my iMovie editing is a little rudimentary still!

Thought the music quite apt given the recent forest fires!

Great stuff. One question....how do you get wear your chest harness so that you don't film too much of your toptube? You seem to have the angle just right whereas my footage shows too much of my bike (and knees!). Cheers.

Nice - I like that. Makes it look as fast as it feels to ride it.

I'm about to sell my GoPro as the hours of editing just bores me to bits! Plus I crashed and landed on my chest mount and whilst the camera was fine my ribs took the force as the camera didn't squash......hurt a lot!

@10PMIX mount your camera upside down on the chest mount, go into the settings and when you see 'UP' click the shutter button to turn it to 'UPD' and it will film upside down, this then means you can level up the camera easier as it is now 'under slung'....

Yes, GoPro in upside down mode so can be angled steeply upwards. It's probably close to 45 degrees upwards when you're stood up straight.

The trails at Swinley are superfast at the moment.

Happily iMovie is pretty quick at editing and I only film interesting bits! Am sure the novelty will wear off before too long but keeps me entertained for now!

Very nice. Only one thing to improve it - nice bit of lycra for the ladies? 😀

The tune is Kasabian 'Fire'.

Pretty sure that trail is Deerstalker, but where we stop at the bottom, Labyrinth starts and is the super twisty singletrack that runs for about a mile further. Babymaker starts next to Deerstalker at the top but is shorter and has the tabletops in it. They both finish at the start of Labyrinth.

Are these trails marked or is that local knowledge?

You'd struggle to find them on your own.
I'm sure some locals would be happy to show you around though.

Hang on - I'm a local...

Lots are marked on www.openstreetmap.org. (switch it to cycle mode using the (+) symbol on the right)

from the res at the top (with the res behind you), am I right in thinking this trail is down the fireroad to the right, up the fireroad on the other side, then take a left into the braken/wooded area there?
