Is it just my pool?

Over the last few months, I've noticed people overtaking me. Nothing unusual there, but they're walking.

Hands above their heads, or hands just out of the water. Sometimes walking forwards, sometimes sidewards and sometimes twisting from side to side, like some kind of dance.

I'm not precious about it, if someone is just getting up to fitness by walking at first then good on them, but that's not the case; there is pretty much someone walking every day!

It reached a peak yesterday, when I took a moment at the end of my swim, took off my googles and noticed that the only three people in the pool were ALL walking towards my end, like ballerinas.

Is there some #trending fashion for walking in swimming pools?

Probably some kind of therapy for old/infirm/stroke victims etc. Also quite good exercise in a different kind of way.

However more to the point, if you're slow enough that people can walk past you in 5ft of water, you can hardly complain 🙂

Are you in the pool at the same time as the aqua aerobics class? 😉

It's not though. I thought it may be some kind of rehab thing at first, but as the frequency and numbers increased, that answer eliminated itself!

I'm not a fast swimmer, but I do swim distance rather than speed 😳

Are you sure you're not swimming in the footbath?
