I’ll be very lucky if I hear a cuckoo, haven’t heard one in an age. Looking out for swallows, saw a Peacock and a Brimstone butterfly today, and there are ants and bees around in the garden.

Going from past experience I'll at least hear a Cuckoo every day from 5th May for a week & probably see a few.

We'll be in Fort William for the SSDT & this has been the pattern for the last 12 years that we've been going.

Usually hear cuckoos down our way and plenty more besides (Somerset, close to a number of nature reserves) but haven't heard one yet and sadly it's still hammering down outside 🙁  ;the forecast is on the up though and there have been plenty of lambs gambolling about in Cheddar Gorge for ages, so things are looking up 🙂

'A cuckoo not a wolf.'

Who mentioned a wolf?
