any good for day to day use/bike transport/overnight kipping at races
and will a 6ft 2" bloke feel comfy for a few hours behind the wheel?
other similar sized alternatives considered

I've got a 1997 Supercarry. Excellent van. A bit slow, 60 is a typical motorway speed. I'm 5'7" so cant comment on the comfort for you. It's fine for me.
Petrol consumption is not brilliant at 35-40mpg, though I have the 1L engine, no idea if the 1.3 is better.
Loads of room in the back, far more than an escort van. Side doors make loading anything easy.
