SWMBO is getting one wrist done on Friday, how disabled is she going to be?

How long before she's back on the bike? I think it's basically two weeks of nothing (i.e. being chauffeured, excused from nappy duty, etc) but anyone else have any experiences or warnings?

Had mine done a few years ago.
Out-patient only, and I was able to get straight in the pub afterwards.
It was sore, but not too bad, for about a week.
I was able to use the hand a bit after a week or so, but it's dressed and stitched, so you can't really get it wet.
It was a revelation, my CTS was completely cured.

I had my left (fretting) hand done a few years back. They used a probe thing so just two stitches. After a week or so I could use the fingers for light duties and was back on the bike after a month or so - by that time the other hand was more painful on the bike and still is as I've still not had it done. I can play guitar again, sleep soundly unless the other one is playing up and there's now no difference in strength.

In short, not very disabled for not very long and I got the full use of my hand back.
