I know of the potential damage that might be caused, but I find phenomena like this amazing. My inner nerd gets very excited.

Aye, great for windsurfing and paddleboarding though.

We're due the Autumn solstice one soon, normally Haying Island floods near the seafront.

Great to watch.

Noticed the tide was very low as I started out ... there where lots of metal detector types along the shore line opposite Tate modern

We noticed the low tides at work, using sea water as coolant for a power station you kinda have to...

Love the way they always use the Mersea Island road for these pics. It floods every high tide! A twice daily event is hardly news.

I'd like an asterisk: *Illustrative of actual news.
