i need to set up a webpage to host an image, maybe two images (jpeg of our evening only wedding invites and a map, maybe a paragraph or two of text.... super simple.
ideally i'd like to be able to update the website before and after the event to add a link so people can go to the website that'll be selling the charity photobooth photos.
any recommendations?
thank you xx
Imgur allows you to upload pics and add descriptions/titles.

ideally i'd like an actual page i can customise, throw in the charity logos and stuff 🙂
Blog?
Don Simon is on it. Blogger, Tumblr or Wordpress will give you the tools you will need.
blog isnt a bad idea... although my memory of blogs is each entry kinda sits on-top/below the last. is there no free website type things any more like the olden days of yahoo/geocities?
EDIT - will look at wordpress now
Word press gives you different pages too.
If it's just a page find someone with a website to put it on then get the URL from them to send out.
You could buy a domain name for about £5-10 and forward it to your page if you wanted.
Geocities is only available in Japan these days, unfortunately. Shame really, as it was quite entertaining in its madness.
These days it's all about Social media, innit....which is great, but I do wish there were more free platforms for people to get their creative hats on.
Without setting up domains, hosting, etc, a blog's probably the easiest one (Blogger will let you set something straight up). Or even a photo hosting site like Flickr. If you're only going to have a couple of images(?) then I don't see how one post on top of the other is going to cause a problem. And you could also use it as a news feed, in the lead up to events...
For the record, if you follow Dobbo's advice, and you can also point a domain at a blog if you needed, then www.philandmrsphilsawesomewedding.co.uk is available for £5.98 for 2 years.
I would get a simple sitebuilder. Look at something like basekit or yola. Attach your domain to it and you're sorted
dropbox' public folders?
My ISP gave me a site to use when I signed with them (ZEN).
