With the impending arrival of unknown jr mk 2 I'm being kicked out of my study to make space for a bedroom - fair enough. Rather than squeeze a desk into the dining room I'm looking at options for adding a room in the garden. I've neither the time nor the skill to build something myself - assemble maybe but build no. Does STW have any recommendations for a cost effective, off the shelf option? Just needs to be big enough for a desk, chair, maybe a small sofa too.
My mate runs Gardensheduklimited.co.uk take a look at their website, not sure on their pricing but he has massive OCD so I know they are very good quality.
We bought a log cabin kit from Tuin, which functions as a workshop plus storage shed. The log cabin was ~£1800 last year. We also insulated roof and floor but that was separate to what was supplied by Tuin.
Took us a day to build up to roof level then another day to do the roof. No more complicated than Lego

We picked up a small 8x6 summerhouse for about £600. Added a stronger floor (decking), insulated it with the 'silver bubble wrap' and then ply lined all the walls and roof. Added mains electric and two wall lights. By the time we'd done this and painted it, you are looking closer to £1k. Insulating is ideal as it stops the shed getting too hot in the summer, and also helps in winter of you've a small fan heater. My wife uses it for her crafts. Even without heating on, it's not damp in there due to the insulation.
