Hello All
So this year's planned snowboarding trip to France was cancelled due to the virus.
However I am aware that there are glaciers in Europe where one can ski 'year-round'. Has anyone here done this and if so where would your recommend?

You think they'll be open, accessible?

Yes, skied in Kaprun one summer. Early start early finish. I only did a few hours. But it was fun. Would get bored with more than a day I would say. not sure how extensive any eu glaciers are in comparison. My god was the sun intense though.

Just to add it would be a great addition to any alpes trip with whatever other activities you like.

Riksgränsen , Sweden. It's amazing. Currently 4.8m of snow base there . Actually fairly easy to get to. So shreddy

Kaprun (the Kitzsteinhorn) typically is open from October onwards but depending on the snow there might not be many runs.
As above, ok for a day or 2 but wouldn’t make a holiday of it.
What is possible though is to do a few days there and the rest of the week bike riding in Saalbach/Hinterglemm & Leogang.

Rode les 2 alpes one summer, it was a while back though so don’t know if that still runs? It was pure slushy park laps rather than much general piste riding so depends what you are into

More than twin tip skis? Bit of an odd statement.

Most stuff is going to be very glacier based. If you aren’t hitting the park or training it’s going to get pretty dull pretty quickly. Swap it for a biking trip?

Quite a few European resorts have a small area, normally on a Glacier, open all year round; but it's pretty tiny, and just blue gradient stuff.

However, no way anything will be open for months with CV-19, be lucky if there's a 2021 ski season in Europe.

Zermatt glacier is open year round, to save cash stay down the valley in Tasch, the train back into Zermatt is quick and reliable. We used to ski into Cervinia for cheaper lunch / better coffee though this might not be possible in summer!
