Hey all,
Looking at a week in Morzine during the summer, for me, the wife and my daughter who will be 7.
Riding will feature a little (i will take my bike), but mainly it will be enjoying the Alps and all the things to do in the area.
Usually we would do a self planned holiday with an AirBnB, then cook etc, but we are more interested in a one stop shop.
I have used Alpine Elements a few times 6 or 7 years ago and found it a good experience. I know they went under a while back, but seem to be still around. I assume they got bought out/taken over.
Prices are acceptable, especially with the extras (free basic bike hire, activities), transfers, food etc.
But before I do book, is there anyone else i should be looking at? I would check out MTB beds etc if it was a purely biking trip, but as its not, am i overlooking any other 'one stop shop' providers in the area?
On a different note, will all the lifts be open at the end of June? I would assume so!
Thanks you wonderful bunch 🙂
Lifts wise, the opening weekend of all the lifts (I think) coincides with the Passporte Du Soliel event running. If it is, then Morzine will be busier than usual. They also ran a Spartan even late June/early July when we were there biking with all lifts open. The town was rammed with entrants, and it felt like a willing waving contest in the bars and restaurant TBF.
Edit, on your main question, Aiglon was a nice place to stay.
We stayed in Chatlet Ronciere in Montriond last summer - highly recommend.

Big beds, lovely chalet, hot tub, EV charger, On the bus route into town/ Lac/lifts. There’s a bike rental place 2 min walk away and it qualifies for the morzine pass for lifts , activities etc.
We had a couple of days walking in the hills, as well as some Via Ferrata. Great family holiday.
Driving down by EV was dead easy too.
Alpine Elements used to have a terrible rep for over promising and under delivering - glad that's improved.
Haha. I used to work for them (2005) and can confirm the over promise, under deliver mantra.
