Went for the morning weigh in and I'm hopefully starting a downward trend.

Same here, down 0.4kg. Was 83.7kg on Wednesday but had a slight bounce back up, all good signs though.

I've definitely plateaued, good point is managed to stay the same all week not bounce up and down by 3lbs.
Bad news it's really difficult to keep the consistency.
Cracked last night and had muffin and larger dinner.

This morning woke up really hungry still, bowl of granola with bacon sandwich chaser.
Bugger!

120KG exactly for me this morning - 0.9KG loss this week.

If I don't say goodbye to 120KG+ for ever from now, there is no hope

Weighed on Friday but forgot to add to the sheet so have updated this morning, not as much loss this week, this is due to drinking beer on Thursday but managed to avoid it the rest of the week. Want to make 74kg by Friday this week so have been very strict with myself since Friday, although pants weather yesterday meant no Sunday bike ride.

I know dietary requirements differ between each person and what works for one doesn't necessarily work for others but I find eliminating bread completely helps massively, I am eating a lot of salad and vegetables though to increase what volume of food is on the plate and try to really reduce carbs after lunchtime.

Same weight as last week but I'm happy with my progress. I'm eating less junk and seem to be slimmer. I need to drink more water though.

I going to my numbers on the spreadsheet I’ve not had chance as I’ve been away since it kicked off. I’ve absolutely piled weight on since the beginning of the lockdown. I had a couple serous injuries in 2019. I recovered by Feb 2020 and was probably the fittest I’ve been in my life however during the first part of lockdown I focused on keeping the kids active rather than myself. But one of the injuries returned at the end of 2020 and in 2021 I had surgeries on my knee and shoulder plus I was hospitalised after a freak bike crash. By New Year I was approaching 18 stone from 13. One problem I have I still can’t run and i associate running with weight loss. Well today I measured under 17 stone for the first time in ages and I’m planning to make big dint in the weight before my next hols im 9 weeks. I’ve gone low carb and I’m coupling that with long slow rides. I would hit the gym too but I’ve sprained both wrists in a OTB 3 weeks ago in the lakes and currently have no strength in them.

Just got round to adding Friday's weight. Not even close to target, but at least it's going down now!

@bigdean, bad luck 🙁

Lots of walking for you in the next 6 weeks then?

I've had a load of physical work on recently, so breakfasts have been consumed, which has slowed progress.

Hopefully finish that today so I can start being hungry again (without the shakes) tomorrow 🙂

I seem to be dropping a pound a week at the moment without really trying. Down to 78.5kgs this morning

Without doing the spreadsheet, the personal target in my head was 12.5st (Just under 80kgs). Got a little bit of belly fat to lose, but don't really want to lose much more weight

Think it said 75 when I looked at the scales early this morning.

I seem to be having good success with the 8/16 diet. I have a coffee at 7am, breakfast at 9am and last meal at 5pm... seems to really work well with moderate exercise included. The key is sticking with it for 6 days a week minimum.

The downward trend continues - yay! Still above target but at least it's the right direction now...

Going well again here, under 12 stone for the first time in a long time.

My wife is a feeder, I mentioned my weight and she starts on with the "Don't lose too much weight, you look ill when you do".

Given that the NHS BMI calculator says I should be between 9st3lb and 12st7lb (9st3lb!!!!!) and I'm loving losing the belly fat so I'll crack on but not talk about it...

Gained everything I lost last week, mainly due to long days at work so no time for any exercise and also being back home so late I didn't have time to cook so have been snacking on crap to keep the hunger at bay.

Week off this next week though so should make some progress.

the NHS BMI calculator

Please don't put too much faith in that work of arbitrary statistics!

I seem to have had a good week this week, but I am not sure why, I've been eating plenty as usual and it's too hot to go for a run!

Shovelled a little bit on this week, mainly due to drinking, eating a pile of rubbish on Sunday, haven't been as good this week. Never mind though, I'll get back onto it.

Good to see a lot of people still enjoying the journey! I consider this a challenge to myself to change my habits rather than the weight loss. I've been able to cut out the chocolate biscuits from my weekly shop, cereal also. Removing both had been beneficial to me. I'm able to enjoy the beer and random rubbish food occasionally with out feeling to worried about the effect on my health. A bonus I guess when though it isn't perfect. I'm pretty sure I don't do perfection anyway.

Somewhat implausibly I managed to go on a two week holiday eating badly and drinking far more than usual and have actually lost a couple of kilos.
Still not quite on track though.

the NHS BMI calculator

Is a load of tosh

"You are in the healthy weight range, but at the higher end. Keep an eye on your weight and try to stay in the healthy range."

Apparently I could be 3st lighter

Ermmm, OK....

Apologies for the terrible pic

Are you a hobo living in a trailer in the US? 🤣

I remember when I was younger going to the GP for a medical for some reason and they started saying my BMI was high but then stopped when they remembered I was stood there with hardly an ounce of fat on me and basically all muscle. Me having a rib cage that is stuck out quite far even when lean doesn't help with the looks either! Being short skewed the figures to the extent the chart said I was meant to be 2 stone lighter but the only way of doing that was to cut a limb or two off! A proper Sports Nutritionist at the gym I used to use years ago (University Of Wales, they worked with Manon Carpenter at one point) said that anyone who worked out regularly should shift the BMI chart up 2-5 BMI points depending on what sport they did but that it is essentially bollocks.

Swap the US for London/anywhere in the UK and pretty much, yes! 🤣

I know the BMI is a very blunt instrument but the 9 stone 3 did make me laugh.

Gained a little this week, but had fallen off the wagon a few times. Been a full week at work for the first time since covid last year, so I'm very tired at which point will power wanes. Still, I'm under 12 stone which is the main thing 🙂

Bugger, found some of the lost lbs again.
I just don't seem to be able to power through being hungry.

I'll be delayed with this week's weigh in.
I've had a decent shave and my nose and ears waxed this week so I'm hoping to be a similar weight or less when I hop on the scales 😲.

0.9kg down this week, mainly due to being off work so have had time to do Zwift and IRL rides plus less opportunity to be swayed by snacks!

Weigh in tomorrow should be interesting. Back from a holiday but I think I did ok by skipping unnecessary breakfasts and not eating too many desserts.
Started trying to fast now on my days off work. Managed today with only one meal after 20 hours and should only need 2 tomorrow.

I've managed to basically get back to my 'normal' weight, but a long way off achieving my goal.

Listening to Thorough Examination is interesting though. I don't eat much processed foods, but some of the psychology resonates.

Morning all, hope you are all getting nearer to your target weight, the good news is there is now a 2 week extension to take this to the end of July, but that's it!... 🙂

Thanks Coconut, although it won't help me 🤣

Despite saying a few weeks above 'I never want to see 120Kg again', I did exactly that as I'm stupid and believe weight magically falls off.

Just had two weeks off and despite having the relative freedom to eat what I want when I want, my weight is on the way back down. It is lunch at work that does for me as it is too easy to nip out for something and buy half the shop.

Need to get into the routine of packed lunches made the night before - it isn't that hard is it!

And a couple of 3 hour+ rides thanks to new ebike are helping too. Best thing I ever bought.

A little lighter this week. I'm managing to stay away from the once regular biscuits and cereal.
The extra few weeks might see me get below 74kg? Which would be a milestones for me.

I'm weighing in tomorrow. I am still avoiding the biscuits, cereal and other snack foods (bar the peanuts i'm eating as i type) so that is a good thing. I don't think I've lost any weight though during the latter part of the week but tomorrows weigh in might say otherwise.

I'm 0.5kg UP on my starting weight.

Really not very good at this.

No improvement for me this week. My eating patterns had changed due to different work shifts. I hadn't managed to skip any breakfasts and other than a short cycle commute I didn't do any other outdoor activity.

Static numbers for me this week. I doubt I'll reach my target! I need to ride my bike more. I'm doing well with my chocolate biscuits and cereal avoidance tactic. If I take anything away from this it'll be that change in habit.

Weighed in this morning at 74kg. Probably due to dehydration 🤔 after a longer than usual bike ride on Wednesday.
I am still avoiding cereal and chocolate biscuits which is a benefit.

That's it folks, hope you all got near your target weight. I managed to come in 300gms below my target weight, so a close call. Feel free to carry on using the spreadsheet to record your weekly weight.

Still the same weight! Such a consistent run if keeping weight within 0.5kg variance!,

I'm not sure my heart was in it but this public accountability prob stopped me gaining whilst I've been injury rehab so good really - will push on through the summer.

A dodgy knee has restricted my only riding to commutes to/from work for most of the year, catching covid a few weeks ago meant I wasn't even doing this for a week or so but still managed to lose a bit of weight so I'm happy with that.
