I thought shares just grew and grew ....is their a FB group I can join to protest about this?
maybe re-read the article? All the mentions I've seen of this give the reason..

Yes but i have googled now [ sorry for taking the OP at face value] and I was not that far off as they have reduced growth forecasts and not told everyone possibly.
They are being sued because of allegedly downgrading the share forecast just before the stocks were released and only telling insiders.
Joe public wasn't made aware of this so the banks and fb senior management made a killing using info everyone else doesn't have.
