I am just about to move home in Cardiff. I have had Virgin Media at my current house which has been pretty good but a bit spendy despite me calling up periodically to try and get a lower price.

So moving to the new house we are considering our options.

The new house seems to have had it all in the past:
Sky - dish on the front wall
Virgin Media - Wiring in place
BT Openreach - Wiring in place

Our needs our
- Internet: We are both WFH at the minute so sometimes both on MS Teams calls. We are not fussed about ultimate speed but it needs to be decent and reliable. Our current Virgin Media is 125 Mbps according to a speed test I just ran.
- TV: We are not heavy viewers but access to catch up services a must. Ability to record stuff good. We often use Chromecast for YouTube etc so not reliant on the TV solution doing everything.
- Landline: Fine if it comes as part of a bundle and we would use it a bit but not critical.

What would people suggest? I am leaning towards Virgin Media again but set up as a new account in my wifes name to get a good price.

Zen or Andrews & Arnold. A&A are more business focused but with service levels appropriate to the price.

Had all sorts in the past too but happy with FTTC internet (67ish down, 19 up) with similar needs. We just have the satellite feed into our TV for free channels.

TV is quite old so Apple TV for streaming stuff. Always used to have a recorder but haven’t bothered for at least 18 months, the streaming catch-up services are so good now. There’s a decent Freesat recorder again now (humax contract stopped and it took a while for the replacement model) else as a cheap option get a BT youview (freeview) box on eBay, they work fine as a recorder for free channels without a subscription.
