You don't need to be an 'investor' to invest in Singletrack: 6 days left: 95% of target - Find out more
I recently got an Employee of month award and had choice of:
wks extra pay (subject to tax)
Wks extra annual paid leave.
So i picked the extra leave which is the better in my opinion.
So I've decided to use it as an excuse for an Adventure, but on a budget .
Suggestions please
I'm based in Ireland so that's my starting point.
What sort of riding and what milages? I have some nice "gravel" rides around the highlands of that sort of timescale / length. Offroad but mainly pretty easy and scenic. Estate roads mainly ie doubletrack. If interested in that type of ride I'll put the routes up for you
Scotland would be an option as could get ferry from North of Ireland or Dublin i think.
Looking at 20-30 miles max per day, could use bothies too , not been back to north for few years now. Last time i was on SKYE.
I rode from Edinburgh to Cork one summer.
Ride to somewhere to mtb, then fly back?
Would you come over by car or fly or cycle to the ferry? Some nice touring / gravel stuff in Dumfries and Galloway plus of course the trail centres and presumably some proper MTB I don't know which you could ride to from the ferry to stranrar perhaps?
From your 20 - 30 miles a day I guess you are looking for "real mtb" not my gravel type riding where even on a laden tandem we do 40 - 60 miles a day
Could go big in the Lakes?
Ah 20/30 miles I'd have a week in the lakes 🙂
