Few of us heading there Sat.
Suggested route is near Bamford up onto Win Hill to Hope Cross, down The Beast then Ladybower shoreline walk back. I would rather go from Hayfield up to Kinder Downfall to Edale Cross back to Hayfield - both similar distances but this feels a bit more 'out there'.
Any good ones to throw into the mix? Cheers

The roaches would be nice. It'd be hard to beat a nice walk across kinder scout but the views from the roaches just about beat it I reckon.

Don't know about a specific route, but I'd maybe try to get alport valley and the castles in there if I was planning that sort of distance on foot.

If you're more adventurous, then up Blackden Clough from the a57, around kinder north edge to Fairbrook Naze and then down to the snake Inn for a pint followed by an off piste walk back through the access land to the south of the a57 and the river ashop.

If you did walk the roaches you could also visit Luds Church which is interesting geological formation just over the ridge. You could park near the buxton road, walk the whole length of the roaches to the church and then back again.

There's vids of luds church on youtube as well.

Maybe follow the Kinder Downfall race route except the off path section 3/4 of way in and instead taking the path across from Edale Cross.

Middleton by Youlgreave - Bradford Dale - Calling Low - Cales Dale - Lathkill Dale - Youlgreave.

Not across the tops, but you won't be short of views. About 8 miles.

If you're an MTBer, then you should probably pick a route that you can't MTB (legally or easily). That way, you won't spend the whole time thinking 'I wish I was on my bike'

Makes the walk much more enjoyable!

Plus you don't have to dodge all the Peaty wannabes.

I'd do the Hope Valley side of the Edale Skyline from Edale or maybe Hathersage > Stanage > Burbage > Padley Gorge > Grindleford > Hathersage.

My wife regularly walks up to 10 miles while I go biking, inc one similar to your route. She also suggests climbing Lose Hill from Hope, walking the ridge to Mam Tor then dropping onto the southern flank of the ridge to traverse back to Hope. Or from Ladybower, up onto Derwent Moor, following the ridge to Lost Lad before dropping down to the res and returning

From the usual parking spot near the quarry on Kinder Road, go past Tunstead Clough Farm up onto Kinderlow End (steep steppy ascent). Over to the trig point at Kinder Low, round the edge to the downfall. Continue along to Sandy Heys and head off down the grassy slope to reach Kinder Reservoir at the footbridge where the William Clough path comes down. Alternatively descend down William Clough.
