I lost my P a few days ago and am struggling with the ad laiden version of the forum. I wanted to renew my subscription but when I actually sat and added up the cost of all the services I have now its frightening!

Amazon Prime - £80/yr

Netflix - £10/month

Now tv - £30/month

Zwift - £12/month

Trainerroad - £10/month

Google play music - £10/month

=£944 / year. NEARLY £1000 A YEAR!

Anyone beat that?

There will be a lot that pay that much purely to Sky tv.

Amazon Prime (for some reason they still give me the student price and haven't checked since 2007): £39/year.
Netflix: £7/month
TrainerRoad: £79/year
Zwift: £12/month

£346 total.

Did have Spotify but it's now rolled into my phone contract (thanks Vodafone). Do you watch enough Now TV to justify the cost?

I'm not hugely fussed. The Zwift / TrainerRoad subscriptions replace a gym membership, and I find the fast delivery from Amazon useful. I also get free delivery to Amazon lockers at work. Only difference is that now I have Spotify and Netflix I haven't bought a film or more than a couple of albums all year.

Colleague at work was telling me how me negotiated his Sky contract *DOWN* to £110/month...

You're paying too much for Now TV.

Bin it and wait until they have an offer in the sales - I got a year of movies & ents for £99 in Feb this year.

Probably not, but it was justifies originally because all the tv subscription services combined was less than sky. I would probably cancel Now TV, but there are a few box sets that the wife watches that are exclusive.

£20 a year for a P doesn't seem particularly bad value compared to that lot, eh?

Veloviewer - £10/year
Trainerroad - £10/month (in the months when I actually use the turbo)

I think that's it, must be something else but doesn't come to mind.

Then again the cost of coke and hookers these days ...

Zwift £12.99 a month for 5 months = £65
Phone £3.99 a month = £48
Single Track £39/year

So about £152 Do I win a prize?

yeah, these subscriptions do add up, you really need to keep on top of it.

As others have said the TV subscriptions are where the larger costs are, people pay sky/virgin a lot of money.

I dont think I have too much(all are per month):-

Zwift £12.99
Microsoft game pass £7.99
EA game pass £1.67
xbox live £2.91
plusnet broadband and phone £30
ID mobile £9.99
SIngletrack £3.33

I'm happy not to pay for TV or music subscriptions

Here. £1.25/month was cheaper than a new laptop. Not so much bothered by the presence of adverts as the processing power they demand. Then I dropped my laptop and had to buy a new one anyway 🙂

BBC license fee £12

Amazon. £7.99 (only use the deliveries - never really been interested in anything content wise)

AN Magazine £3.16 (for the handy £5 Million Public Liability insurance cover)

the last two are really business expenses I guess. So just here and the BBC. I'm generally allergic to the idea of any subscription/monthly outgoing

Subscription Services can be a real shit, but it's the way the world is going - EVERYTHING is monthly now in the IT World.

Ours (this is for my family, not just me)

Monthly

Mobiles (sons and wife) £55
Virgin £45
NowTV £8
Netflix £10
Prime - £0 a freebie!
Microsoft Live £6
Apple Music Family £15
TWO Nursing unions - £16 a piece.
Daughters Gymnastic Club £30

We use all of them pretty regularly and I try to keep on top of them, but we had some stupid stuff running for years that we never used.

Mine's over £800 a year just for me (that does include broadband).
Hate to think what I was paying a few months back when I had Virgin BB, loads of Sky channels, plus Boxnation.
I do subscribe to 4 actual paper type mags as well.

Its looking good value right now just because the forum is so awful without it. Its soooo slow with the ads, and the privacy notice popping up every 4 or 5 tab opens is particularly annoying.

Amazon Prime £9.99/month
Spotify £0.99 for 3 months (there's always an offer somewhere)
Gym £16.99/month
Cranked Sub £39/year.

I more than cover the Amazon price in free postage and watch a lot of their stuff too. Spotify is on most days so is a bargain. The gym is cheap compared to some round here so I'm happy with that. Love Cranked so that cost is definitely worth it. There is no way I could justify spending any money with Sky though, I just don't watch enough regular TV to justify it. If I did get it I'd want the F1 channel and that's over £60/month!! My sister pays just over £110/month for hers, madness.

I pay £25 a year for a forum subscription and £5 a month for my phone services.

The only other bill I have is rent at £250 a month.

what bugs me is all the software that you used to buy outright they now think that you want to subscribe to.  All these 10eur/month add up pretty quickly
