[Closed] STW spiderists- is this a false widow?

about half a dozen of these have taken up residence around my front window frame (outdoors, thankfully). should i be concerned? they're about 10mm long, head and body, and leg span about the size of a 10p coin. and no, they're not baby robins...

Yes that needs rubbing down, possibly filling and repainting. There are signs of cracks which will allow water penetration.

My guess* is that those are Missing Sector** Orb Web Spiders.

Let one bite you and see what happens......

* not an expert and not a great picture TBH.

**If they've made webs there'll be a conspicuous section of the web missing, hence the name

the legs are curled under this one, as it's deaded. good replies; i'll hold off on torching my house then.
