Evening....
Ive been trying out various contacts (free week trials) for use when I am riding, not general wear. Ihave discovered that the daily ones are not particually user friendly for me. The monthly ones seemed the best fit.
So if I go for the monthly lenses and am only wearing once maybe twice a week will they last for more than a month? (the optician said no, but he sells the things and wants to make money!)
Cheers
I've been told the same thing - throw them out after a month even if you've only worn them once. Then the optician said "but basically, just wear them until you notice them deteriorate".
Which for me is about 2 months of occasional use, riding and climbing. I use glasses the rest of the time. You can tell when they start going, they'll get dry and vision will be more blurred.
Thats what I figured, so long as you keep them cleaned and the container sterilised, once a week they, SHOULD be fine
how much will you save by keeping your monthly disposables for longer?
and how much is your eye sight worth to you?
is it worth getting a nasty eye infection just to save a few quid?
I've used the same monthly lenses for well over a month. basically they get dry and scratchy when they're too old. I do stick to monthly replacement now but my eyetests were always fine after the overused lenses.
