I have a task to do for my Portuguese language class (in Portugal) for literature week.
This is the instruction:
“Discovering a character” - Choose your favorite character from a book or TV series and present it, in a video with a maximum of 3 minutes, making the reasons for your choice very clear.
I had thought of Al Swearengen from Deadwood who is an amazingly well constructed and played character.... but a little too earthy and violent to be presented in a high school environment.
I know I've read and seen lots of books and dramas with some really great characters but I am struggling to recall them! Any suggestions welcome ...
Cheers
If you tell me "your favorite character from a book or TV series " then I will suggest them. Until then, we are all just guessing

Cougar! Genius, I may well just go with that! I wonder if the humour will translate....
Needs the feed lines to work, though.
I've just realised, you said it had to be "a maximum of 3 minutes". You could go "I like this character because they're great" then sit down again, you've met the criteria.
I find her to be the most lovable and inspiring of conflicted and dislikable narcissists
“I have two brains in my body. I've never felt so dumb."
"I am big enough to admit that I am often inspired by myself."
Are you allowed to use props?

Hugh Bullshot Crummond

P7eavan, yes, she is a similarly well written character to Swearengen, you shouldn't like them but you do because there are little elements that remind you of yourself....? ... Not that I'm about to cut anyone's fingers off!
Thanks for (mostly) for the other suggestions, I'll have a look.
