Is there anyway through settings or an extra plug in that I can see if a person is in my address book from my Inbox.
Say like a little tick next to them that just shows I have them in my conatcts.??
Don't think so. I just chose "Add to Contacts" on someone's name in the preview pane. So now they're in my contacts.
Go back to the message, right-click the name again, still says Add to Contacts. Outlook is dumb.
Maybe version 2010, mine is 2007
I can't test this at work because it's tied down a bit tight but I suspect you can add a contact with a display name, so if you get an email from Bill Bobbins, add him to your contact list as say , Bill Bobbins (Contact) in the display name and then he will appear like that in your inbox.
Just trying that one..
No, didn't work for external contacts either.
