So we had a bit of a leak under the bath, it’s a bungerlow.
The water trashed the chipboard under the bath but spread over under the bedroom floor.
Rest of the bathroom is ok as it’s marine ply with tiles and the water didn’t spread over it.
Looks like it will dry out and i have a dehumidifier under the floor.

Im thinking of leaving a gap round the new floor so if it ever leaks again the water won’t spread and should just fall on the concrete pad below. Or i see wetrooms have a profile i could add to try and contain any leaks under the bath.

Anyone got any other ideas or seen a product?

Fix the leak and address any issues that may produce future leaks, I've owned numerous homes over the past 35 years and never had a bathroom leak.

yes it’s fixed, but bitten twice shy and all that, a bit of prevention.

Why chipboard under the bath and ply elsewhere?

Like folks say, just get it fixed and move on.

Before we got a freestanding bath that sits on top of tiles in a tanked bathroom /wet room the original bath was mounted on the floorboards/joists. When the kids were young and played/made waves there’d occasionally be a bit of water dripping into the kitchen below. Generally dried out without too much of a problem.
