I ate "whatever I wanted" over the weekend - I just didn't eat too much of it 🙂

I managed to sign up and have a fry up, a few beers and an Indian all within 12 hours!!
Pushed me to start running again a couple of times and a very muddy ride!!
Eating rice cakes while the wife eats fudge is not easy!!!

stop being such a * to yourself.

Why beat yourself up about bouncing between 98 and 100kg. Phrase it differently.....

"I've lost 20kg this year and I'm managing to keep that loss pretty steady +/- a bit even though I've lapsed a few times"

You're a * winner mate, don't forget it.

Cheers Jon! 😀 Your motivation is always appreciated.

I've lost all track of time. Should we be getting reminders or something.

Doesn't really matter I guess, given I am going to start Monday.....always Monday 😀

Soooooorry!!!! I was busy-busy this morn. Email now sent - please do update your vital statistics.

I too managed to lose track of things a bit - am contemplating making this a weekly thang, just to keep it in the forefront of my tiny mind. Anyone else think it might help them out to make it weekly??

I even said no to a plum crumble on sunday

Well played, that man!

For once, work is travel working my favour - big event next week, not enough sleep and feeling under the weather. Has meant it's been easy to make myself avoid alcohol and eat healthy food this week.

The following miscreants have not done their weight update

Matt H
GrenoSteve
JAAAAAAAAMIE
Schrickvr6
Rocco

Whether it's due to shame, laziness or apathy, I don't care - especially if it's apathy
Get it done; you know you want to really.

good job everyone. I got a bit disillusioned having plateaued for too long at a bit under 14st. Meanwhile my wife's been doing brilliantly on Slimming World, and she persuaded me to try eating what she makes for me / tells me to have for lunch and snacks at work for a couple of weeks and see what I can do.

5.5 lbs off since 1/10. I don't subscribe to diets but this has all been lean meat and vegetables and fruit. I miss whacking the cheese board...... but can't moan at results.

13st 5lb this morning. I wanted to be 12 something by end Sept, it's almost in grasp by end Oct.

12 months ago I started a couch to 5k programme, I was running but it was hard as I was too heavy. Chub club started gave me a bit of focus and I lost a good chunk of timber over the programme.
Today I ran my first marathon in a respectable 3h55m time.
So thank you Jon for starting this, it has done the job for me and I am very grateful.

Hello chubclubbers!! Been out of the loop for a few months! For those who are new, I lost 2.5st this year in 2017 Chub Club mk1, eating ultra low carb.

Over the summer, I've had no kitchen due to building work, making things tough, but I'm still only a few lbs over my lowest weight, and staying stable. I have basically completely reset my perception of food this year. Whilst I still eat low (processed) carb, avoiding cakes & biscuits, moderation is everything now.

Good luck all!

I had been enjoying eating well and enjoying it but have just returned from a four day eatathon in Bordeaux, I'm dead keen to jump back on the wagon tomorrow but have a birthday do on Wednesday so I'll probably have no choice but to gorge myself silly. I'll try and update my weight tomorrow.

I've only lost a teeny bit so will have to try harder over the next 7 days...

I've added a Progress to Target calculation (%) to the Progress Chart and done a simple Top 5 table - also Progress to Target. This can easily be expanded to show the full list if anyone wants.

Some good progress shown by some; anyone who has one the worng way, don't get disheartened - you've got the rest of your life to drop the weight - it's not a race :).

Is it that time agen? Already?

Why yes, yes it is. Get your updates in please peoples.

I, myself, appear to be taking a very slowly-slowly catchy-skinny-munkey approach. Not by design; I'm not even close to target, but I'm going in the right direction - so I'm feeling quite good about it.

I managed to drag my fat arse out the door for a run the other day, my first run in two years and managed 5k in 32 minutes which I was quite pleased with all things considered, and about 3.5kg down, so YAY from me too.

Good work all.
I seem to be progressing slowly. I'm squatting [s]over the toilet bowl[/s] in the gym three times a week so I'd like to think my muscle mass is increasing hence I'm not plummeting down in weight. maybe.

I've started using the my fitness pal thing to keep an eye on food. If you don't exercise its amazing how little you can eat...!

Little bit 🙂 I've had gastric problems for a couple of weeks and couldn't eat or drink for a few days without barfing so my weight shot right down - mostly due to water loss... Now I'm eating loads of white carbs cos they don't aggravate me, but there's a decent chance I'll go up a trouser size soon because of it.

Anyhoo... get your updates in please.

Doesn't seem unreasonable - if I can be arsed I'll be making some changes to the process over Chrimble and launching (to great fanfare) a 2018 edition.

Bit of an update as I dropped out a while back injured and getting fatter. My goals were at the start were (cut and paste)

I'll update my figures here so I have a record of target if that's OK
Currently 13 St 11 3/4 lbs aiming for 13.9 month. 13.2 3 month, 12.7 6 month.
Would ideally like to be between 12 and 12 half stone
Oh I'm five ten BTW
Ta

Id gone up to 14 stone 5 at the fattest and i'm now at 12 stone 1 pound meaning I'm down 32 pounds or 2 stone 4 pounds in old money 🙂

I leave the rehabilitation center at the end if the week much improved from when I arrived and should be back at work soon injury free 🙂

I said nice one bruvvva!!

This changes the game somewhat! With the emergence of a stalking horse howsyourdad has gone from bookies' favourite to an also-ran. Unless he's up for living on water and vitamin tablets between now and Christmas there's not much chance of him winning the grand prize*

[img] [/img]

*There is no prize (the cake is a lie), just a happy waistline.

Rob is feeling motivated by Firestarter's success :).

Few weeks at the Rehab center has been hard work to try avoid piling back on weight despite exercise As the day is pretty much breakfast/gym/toast/swim/gym/lunch/
Walk/coffee and cake/gym/evening meal with pudding
I've been managing to do without toast cakes or pudding but I've eaten a fair few extra boiled eggs and bananas I stash away at breakfast 🙂

Depending on which cheeks it might be sexual harassment. It's been a while since I've had any 'interest', though so I guess I'll take whatever I can get.

I did this 2017, although I had ups and downs, and missed the last 1 or 2 weigh ins, I carried on
1st jan i was 256lbs, today I'm 233, so over 1.5 stone less

slow and steady, just by eating less, and more sensibly and more cycling

will just continue the same next year

and try not to go too mad over Xmas

My hip is very sore though from last physio. Looks like no running for while best I dust of the bike

Looks like we have had a good year, started at 188 lbs now 169 lbs, thats the best part of 1.5 stone lost due to a slightly improved diet (Although this could probably be improved further) and a lot of cycling / zwift work.

Was targeting 160 lbs for Christmas in Fat club II but that was hugely optimistic and would have taken a complete overhaul of my diet, which wouldn't work at this time of year.

First time under 170 lbs in a few months so off out tonight for a curry and a couple of beers to celebrate.

No, sausage-fingers - it's a weigh in day. 😛

@Firestarter
My God man, you've broken my loverly charts!! They don't handle your levels of success :/ I insist you get on the lard sandwiches pronto and sort yourself out!

[IMG] [/IMG]

Then have a read of the rules; you're not actually supposed to achieve your goal!
Once you're in you're not allowed out - didn't you know??

This is too much for me - I need a lie-down.

And a gateau.

I managed to fall off the radar for this somehow - but I was chuffed to get on the scales and see I'm down to 141lb

Which means side is started trying to do something about my weight in Jan I have lost over 2st

All down to low carb high fat as I've not been this weight for a very long time. Quite please with myself- but it's so hard to avoid the mince pies 🙂

Well I've done it. two days in a row of the scales reading 75.3kg.

5kg loss so I'm well pleased with myself. another nine days to go before the yule festivities begin so I'll see what I can get to. I feel like I've got into a really good routine now and it's not to difficult. super stoked as they say in the enduro world

haha very good! its weird though, I still think I have a little to lose. all those years of thinking I was in better shape than I was.

Can't really ride now due to snow and weather where I live in Sweden but I'm excited to see what difference it will make to my riding. This group has been a really good catalyst for me taking a systematic approach and you guys that use my fitness pal / food diaries really did it for me, that made a massive difference.

11.11, from where you started (1.1.17 you were 13.12) is amazing

I've been down to 13.3 this year, this am was 13.6 and like you I think will gain a few over the next week or so..... but then next year back on to get a magic 12 in front of the .

By end March, so I'm good for the clocks changing and the dry dusty summer that must be coming.

I hit a late surge and got down to 150lbs. If that levels off to start the new year at 152lbs then I’ll be happy. Gives me the clean target of 1 stone in 3 months (1lb a week), to hit 10 stone of pure muscle.

I'm not sad..... 5 years ago I just tipped over 16st and 38 waist; I got down to 13.0 and then had bad times, depression, comfort eating, etc. that caused me to start this off in the first place. Turn of this year was 15st, so now to be 'around' 13 and a half and depending on cut 34 or even 32 trousers, I'm pretty OK.

Ok, so 2017 Chubby-Clubby is all but finito - or would be if hadn't been so overhung yesterday that could have got off the sofa and sent out the updates email...

So, anyone who wants to, get your updates in, see how it worked out and then completely ignore it all and stuff yourself silly for the next week :).

Anyone who is on the distro list will be rolled over for the 2018 edition, which will be launched as soon as I get over my Noo Year hangover 😥
😥

Anyone else who wants to join the next edition, please email me and you'll get instructions etc. I've already got a few joinees based off other threads and will start a new thread at some point.

Happy Chrimble, folks xx

Hey nice one Jamie! Shows what can be done if you put the effort in.

Less effort, and more living a pious monk-like existence. Don't drink and finally phased the sugar out to a degree.

Exercise levels not really changed, i.e non-existant, so its all diet. Which when you think about is **** all effort.
