Mine used to eat mice and just leave the little livers and stuff on the carpet for you to stand on, she also used to kill entire familes of shrews and line them up in size order on the doorstep.
You're supposed to say thank you make a fuss then move them they stop doing it then if you shout they think you want bigger stuff..... you must have been shouting at her / him 😀
