When I was asked about which Gopro to buy I was warned that "They just sit in a draw"

It was a useful warning. I'm glad I had it.

So I thought I'd start a thread where we post stuff from our action cameras. As an incentive to get them out and use them

Might be bike related it might not

I'll start us off with Chaos in our bird bath. It really kicks off about 18 seconds in

Yeah can't say I did much gnarly action footage on mine...

Although got a new dishwasher since that was filmed, maybe it's time for a sequel

See I'm inspired already. In the dish washer. How did you light it?

My wife bought mine as a surprise present after I decided not to as "it will sit in a draw". Because of that I have made more of an effort to use it than I probably would have done.

I am quite chuffed that (as a wheels on the ground kind of rider) I have a good short film of a couple of my rides; one solo and another where my wife was training for a marathon and I kept her company on the longest runs. However, neither are the sort of thing that I would publish.

I do have some great footage of me crashing while windsurfing that has made a few people laugh though 🙂

Like you ( @amthill ) I have been filming the wildlife in the garden recently and am trying to make a 'CV-19 backyard safari' mini-movie from the footage I have got so far. Not hosted anywhere so I cant post it here.

Interested to see what others have done.

PS - I also fancy trying a time-lapse of a flower blossoming.... I have got the light box, I just need to find a victim and set it up in the garage so that I can keep the light level constant....

I've only really used mine for motorbike stuff, commuting use and other riding as a helmet cam.

Couple of my bikes on youtube:

@bentandbroken very easy to set up and use a YouTube channel. You can set up your videos as unlisted. That makes them basically invisible unless you give out a link. So we could see it here but it wouldn't show up on youtube

I've had a crack at a few sunsets, caught a nice halo on this one.

Looking forward to late summer, I think we get a lot more colour later on the year.

I lent mine to a friend. She got a good photo of a squirrel. Don't tell WCA.

Another one just messing about in the garden with little miss breadcrumb

I have a timelapse from Christmas morning that I won't share but it's great to watch the living room floor disappear under the wrapping paper 😁
