The original is a banger, but just how many times has it been sampled, remixed or covered?

Here's the original

I've got a 12" of the Juan Atkins remix and also a carl craig release, both from 1990ish, i imagine its been remixed/sampled hundreds if not thousands of times,

Soul Central (one of the duo is Andy Ward who is a top bloke and a local DJ, well, was local) did this remix

They also did one of my fave all time tunes ‘my vow/song for Sharma’

I know Timmy Vegas (Paul Timothy), not seen him in a few years but he's very good mates with a couple of my mates. He's a quality bloke! Totally wired, full of energy all the time! Bear in mind that whilst it samples the original, it's a fair bit more than a "remix", there's a lot of original material in the Soul Central version, most notably Timmy's improvised piano solo.

Seen him a few times but not to speak to... I got to know Andy when he used to bring his mix cd’s around to a shop I used to work in merry hell (20+ years ago now 😣)
Yeah it’s definitely more than a remix!

The original always reminds me of an Aktiv8 tune but if have to sit through some stuff to find it. Hang on...

Edit: I meant Altern 8. Evapor 8 has a similar, but more hardcore sound to it maybe without the piano?

I've watched em all! But yes, the one you are referring to (can't remember the name just at the moment) was particularly good...

Quite a few but this one's the winner for me

Always thought a Senor Coconut cover would be ace but I don't think they did it.

(No idea how to embed YouTube)

Derrick May is a fraudster and the other name on that record is behind that sample.
