How long should a stress fracture be rested?

something like 4-6 weeks no doubt (general bone healing time is in that region)

just reading giladi's 1987 paper about risk factors in stress fractures as it happens.

dont have narrow tibias do you?

13 weeks ago signed off.

hurting for a few weeks before that, started physio every two weeks since week six only to be told to stop and get back on crutches again

had x-rays to identify the problem and a dexa (sp?) bone density scan that was fine

physio has said it might be 6mths till back to training!
