Yours have not been forced?
Had some last night with mango and passion fruit yoghurt!
Delicious!!
Ah yes the beautiful Bristish strawberry.
Why oh why, do the flipping supermarkets insist on supplying us all with the dreaded, long lasting, will bounce like a rubber ball, tasteless 'elsanta', when there are so many varieties to choose from? Oh yes, why do the supermarkets also think we need them all to be the same size and shape?
Silly me, its because they store for ages and travel well, sod the taste for the customer.
I bought some tiny one's the other day, only 50p for a large punnet, gosh they were so tasty and moreish, from out local shop.
Luciky we have a decent greengrocer where I live who buys in some delicious, red, busting with juice fruit.
drive along the A303 especially around the Wiltshire section on any warm day and you will find delicious strawberries being sold from car boots at lay-bys every mile or so..
yum
Mine are all sizes and shapes, but they taste wonderful! God knows what variety they are, from a mates garden.
Eurrgh!
