I've just started getting out on the bike again regularly after long time of not riding and thought I'd rejoin Strava for some training motivation with segment times.
Problem is all my old rides from when I was fit are still on Strava so I'm seeing my personal record times from 7 years ago which is a bit demoralising on the big lakes passes when im now 7 mins slower! Is there anyway to get Strava to ignore rides so I can just have segment times starting from 3 months ago?
You can filter results to this year etc. I’m pretty sure you can’t reset segment times, so other than creating a new account or deleting your old rides, using the filter is probably the better option.
Simplest method would be to create a new account linked to a new email address.
A very long winded solution might be to make all your old rides private.
Something that I have craved for on Strava is separate segment times for different bikes I've ever ridden, my fatbike is never going to challenge my road bike on any significant flat or uphill segment, but I'd like to know if I've just set a new PB on the Wazoo nonetheless.
Yeah new account probably best, I tried filtering them but I want the live segments so I can see how I'm doing up the hills on each ride and filtering them only changes what's shown in the app not the live segments.
