I have been using Strava this year using my Garmin Edge bike computer for logging walks as well as rides.
My question is why does strava show incorrect data when uploading walking data? The moving time and pace are always way off, however Garmin Connect seems to be spot on.
My understanding, Edge's are bike specific and don't like the low speed of walking. I use my 830 when walking and the distance is always way out.
Just use the distance correct function on Strava to sort it, though think you need to use the desktop site for it
I didn't know Distqnce Correct was a thing. How do you do it?
I get the same problem fell running with bike computer (Garmin 200) in my pocket. There can be a lot of very, very slow walking there on the really steep hills and it often thinks I've stopped.
Can you change the device to track every second? That should maintain more accuracy (depending on how got the satellite signal is).
I get differences when cycling. This mornign I rode with a Garmin Vivoactive watch and Strava on the phone
Ride Sun, 26/09/2021 "Easy like Sunday" Morning Ride 1:27:59 18.12 mi 446 ft
Ride Sun, 26/09/2021 Strava is more generous than Garmin 🙂 1:43:58 18.41 mi 535 ft
Further, Faster and more elevation on Strava but seems to have taken longer. Both started and stopped in the garage so possibly slower to pick up the satellite?
Set it to record every second and turn auto pause off. That should fix it.

Auto-pause would have been my guess
