Does anyone know anything about chair beds?

I sleep in our dining room. Let me explain. Lyanda and myself were sleeping in the living room and the kids slept in the bedrooms upstairs. When Lyanda sadly passed away, I decided, instead of adding to the turmoil of moving them around again I would sleep in the dining room and free the living room up again. This allowed them to keep their bedrooms without further upset or interruptions. It works and everyone is ok with it.

Now my issue. My bed has been broken for a while. It is currently being held up by crates and boxes (honestly, pics can be provided). I only have room for a single bed as it fits into the window, Ambrose and Granny_ring may recall from their visits. To watch tv, I perch on the end of the bed. If I want to sit properly, I have a selection of pillows to prop up against the headboard to act as a makeshift seat.

I have been looking at new beds/bed frames as I think I could do with one, but quite content carrying on using this one. Then it got me thinking. If I could get a decent chair bed, I could have a chair when I wanted one and a bed to sleep on at night. Best of both worlds. The hospital near us use some brilliant ones, but can’t find a price or anywhere to buy them.

If it works, it would need to be heavy duty enough to be used every night, not as an occasional bed. Any ideas or suggestions? Before anyone suggests it, not crowdfunding. More than enough has been done already. Again, I thank you all for everything.

Thanks

Carp angler's spend a lot of time on their chair beds.

Could be worth a look

What about some sort of fold up bed that you can leave made up and just pull down in the evenings to sleep on. And then have a proper comfy chair for watching TV?

The kids have shown just how blinking resilient they can be . Shoot me down if you want to but maybe now is the time to review things. Big changes are going on, why not include a shake up of sleeping arrangements too? You are the steadfast rock of the family and deserve a bit of comfort tbh.
